Stand Up

In 2004 JH started working on a stand-up comedy show. From a first tentative 5 minute set within a year he was appearing as part of a double-bill with Matt Harvey, the 'Bard of Totnes' and Radio 4 regular.

Over the next two years the show, cleverly entitled by Matt, 'Two Men in a Show' played over 50 performances in village halls around Devon, Cornwall and Dorset and appeared at the Swindon Literature Festival.

Solo performances have continued and as well as many performances in cabaret clubs appearances include Glastonbury Festival, The Southwest Storytelling Festival and in February 2007 the premiere of the new 45 minute show at Tony Allen's Performance Club in Ladbroke Grove, London.
